Soil Plus proudly presents: An extraordinary coffee history film set in the 1920s on a Kona coffee farm and Hawai’i Island, depicting plantation life for Issei Japanese immigrants, segregation, adoption, and forbidden love. Released in 2018, David Cunningham from Kona, cast over 300 locals as extras; with several members of the Kona community in starring roles: Cole Takiue and Jon Sakata, who are surrounded by Hollywood: Matt Dillon, Jim Caviezel, Ryan Potter, Nick Boraine, Juliet Mills, Olivia Ritchie, Peyton Dilweg, Stelio Savante, Rumi Oyama, and more.
